Minchin hits the real British type of humour (I know hes not!) in that he uses it to confront the most important things in life. Some humours just obscene or silly, but he is both funny and deep. I <3

Erm, no, I was saying how often when you listen to a song, the lyrics get overlooked slightly. I know Tim's a very clever little fucker, and I know his intelligence is *most* of the act, but he also uses the actual tunes. Also, I doubt I've ever listened to one of his more wordy songs and got everything straight away, memorably. Read lyrics = understand the song. There's a reason Storm & Mitsubishi Colt don't have as much music in them, you know.

wat, the music is part of the cleverness... if you juxtapose the music to what he's saying, it's often a humorous contradiction i get the impression that you think the cleverness behind his lyrics are like "second" or "hidden" part of the songs, when in reality that's the entirety of the act... he's a comedian
