There is a much simpler and more elegant theory that eliminates the hocus pocus of this explanation. Search for Dr Lewis E Little, Theory of Elementary Waves

No comment on the religion part, but the tree example is more of a philosophical question rather than a literal one, it is based on the definitions of hearing and sound.

Did he just explain religion in a nutshell? God is there when we are not looking, but he is gone when we are?
So the tree might NOT make a sound when it falls in a forest and nobody is there to see it fall.
Thank you science for making more questions then answers sigh*

This video is rubbish! Even with a single slit you get interference patterns. Try it out for yourself and don't believe the hype!

You don't use light to look at electrons. Especially not single electrons. They aren't large enough to cast a shadow on a wall, no matter how close that wall might be.
The very idea that they'd shoot an object at another object, both of which are many orders of magnitude smaller than the distance between them, is naive.
May 24, 2012 enewhuis Says:
This video is slightly misleading. When dealing with quantum mechanics the observer isn't a neutral party. The observer must interact with and thus change the state of matter in order to observe it. So by observing which slit the electron goes through one changes the experiment into something that has no interference.

May 23, 2012 SkiFrommProductions Says:
Okay... If this could possibly mean that matter isn't there or acts differently when being observed... If you take a hallucinogenic / psychedelic drug such as LSD can the matter act as if it isn't being observed when you are looking at it? Could this create walls that move / flow like water or bright and intense colors?
May 23, 2012 Duherro1 Says:
I might be wrong im only 14 but has anyone ever thought maybe the way they are acting is because electrons are negatively charged so when they are near eachother they decide to split just in the form of a wave and when its under camera it may be because the camera's contents are disrupting the way the electrons negatively deflect eachother. just a theory, like if you think im on the right track here

To observe it you have to shoot photons (light) at it. This in it self interferes with experiment.

Ok. So you can't get your work published? Have you been to different Universities? They're usually helpful and open minded, publishers may not be. Also, the reason ideas like the photon and dark matter are here is because they explain experimental data without contradicting the rest of physics (Superstrings are purely theoretical). If your work is not contradictory to experiment then it should be recognized. You might have just had an unlucky streak. Or maybe you've missed something? it happens.
