Country and all of its inhabitants is ady under enormous stress as it is being ected to:
Major fires.
Major urbance to native vegetation and fauna use of illegal cutting of access tracks, vehicle movement; through the sand dune Vine Thickets pockets.
Excavation of tage sites and the removal activities of facts
Significant ground disturbance - to the establishment of access tracks, holes, test pits, geotechnical tests and ling, lay- down and other specified s, and vehicle movement;
Major urbance to terrestrial fauna - due to ring, vehicle interactions and noise;
r boating noise disturbance to ocean with ease Multi Beam Echo Sounder working the tline in order to determine the optimal route across the shallow water oaching James Price Point and to provide inputs into further marine and port ies.;
Massive increase in light, noise, emissions and choking dust from vehicle equipment exhausts;
Major oduction/transfer of weeds and other s;
Significant pollution/contamination routine discharges;
Major ution/contamination from unplanned harges;
Considerable disturbance to eational activities; and
Momentous and inal disturbance to national and rnational heritage and conservation es.
Invasive photographic footage being n of tourists, locals and children by le who refuse to identify themselves or they represent. If questioned by anyone e unidentified personnel respond with a igerent attitude and aggressive viour
What is important to understand is following facts about the work that is ned in the James Price Point over the ng days:
Geotechnical drilling on the h south of James Price Point; and
echnical drilling in the area of the osed LNG precinct
It is proposed that tracks will be cleared to a width of 5m rovide access to the FEED and FEED Infill echnical test sites. An extra 0.5m will llowed to store top soil. Tracks from ri Rd to the beach will be of a greater h
(up to 8 m).
Proposed clearing would ndertaken by a combination of raking and ing. Additional tracks are planned to be red over the southern portion of the on user/laydown area of the LNG Precinct rovide access for cultural heritage eys and also to some additional FEED.
o approximately 350 geotechnical test s of approximately 200 m2 each are osed to be cleared.
The proposed nment of the tracks to access the echnical test sites located within the and vine thickets are subject to change what has been indicated.
An area of o 100 m by 75 m would also need to be red for use as a temporary laydown area tore materials
A total of oximately 20,000 L of water per day is mated to be required for compaction of s and test sites and dust suppression ng site preparation and operations.
ndwater monitoring bores would be alled at up to 50 of the geotechnical sites. These bores will be installed by ing or drilling a rod (approximately 5 cm eter) into the soil up to a depth of oximately 25 m.
Test pits would be dug depth of up to 5 m at up to 100 of the echnical test sites using a backhoe (or lar). These pits will be up to 10m x 10m rea.
And all of this destruction is ng place when there are still NO OVALS for this proposed project. Everyone understand that a majority of the ned destruction of Country will have ady been completed long before any ovals have come through. Less
