So people won't have to whine about continuity issues: 1. Wily was defeated in "Fifteen Years" in Mega Man Dies At The End. 2. WIly was sent to jail. 3. Wily broke out of jail and became friends with Mario. 4. Tails threw Wily to the ground, but Wily didn't die. He just suffered a head injury. 5. Wily was sent to jail after "The Battle: Part 2" 6. Mega Man unwittingly breaks Wily out of jail in "The Big Job" and "On The Lam"
