Transcript: The master deed is a lengthy document that needs to be drafted and filled with the county prior to a developer selling the first condo unit. The master deed actually converts a parcel of land (or building) into a condo subdivision. The master deed defines the specifics of the condo association, the development, what is to be built, how it is to be managed, as well as who is responsible for what elements of the development. The master deed is the over arching document that defines much of the development. The By-Laws are a sub set of documents that define more clearly define portions of the development.
