It's not stupid, in fact it becomes brilliant if you watch it again with your head tilted slightly. To me, it's a parody of how a large portion of the indie, more specifically hipster, community treats music. Instead of listening to music for ourselves we put so much emphasis on force-feeding our tastes upon others that we disconnect ourselves from what personally enamors us about a particular song/album. I'm as guilty as anyone of this and am realizing how futile it is. Just take it easy
